A few weeks ago, I got the chance to catch up with Morrow Soft Goods cofounders Stephanie Cleary and Michelle Toney while they were on a business trip in New York—and get a sneak peek at their latest collection coming this spring (FYI, there’s a coverlet I can’t stop thinking about). Stephanie has an energy that is just as inviting as Morrow’s beautiful, breezy bed linens, which always manage to feel fresh and timeless in the same breath. That’s because Stephanie, also the brand’s creative director, has a knack for combining colors that feel surprising yet familiar. Stephanie dives into a pairing of a different sort that she’s crushing on right now below, plus the trend she’s ready to say goodbye to and a solve for a common throw-pillow conundrum. —Samantha Weiss-Hills, managing editor

Current Mood

What I’m loving: Blue and sterling silver. I love how both elements add a little pop, especially in spaces with a lot of neutrals or natural materials like wood.

My elevator pitch: You can have the simplest neutral space and a bit of silver or blue can really catch your eye, no matter how small or big it is. So you can use these elements as an accessory or a focal point. And they don’t make your home too cold—instead, they bring character and interest.

How I’d bring the look home:

  • A DIY candle project. I just bought 3mm silver studs to add to a candle like this.

  • You can really transform a bedroom with our Emmanuella coverlet (above)—tuck the pillows under it and now the whole bed is a statement piece.

  • I would add a cushion to this aluminum stool, then use it as a seat or side table.

  • It can be as simple as a small vintage kettle to put on a bookshelf as art or a beautiful silver serving tray for when people come over.

  1. This planter is the first of many things with ball details on this list. The silver is so shiny; it creates a beautiful contrast with a plant.
